Jewelry brand Challenges Women to Propose

Only 5% of women propose to their male partners. That number still exists, Beth Montemurro, a professor of sociology at Penn State University, told The New York Times because:

Women don’t want to be seen as less feminine, or too sexual, or too strong.”

However, in a survey of 500 men, Glamour magazine found that 70% would be very excited if a woman proposed to them.

Jewelry brand Wonther defies stereotypes and with the launch of its new collection of engagement rings and wedding bands, challenges women to take the first step, offering 30% off engagement rings if the woman is the one who proposes.

The brand launched a new collection of engagement rings and wedding bands, in 18-carat white, yellow gold, and diamonds. This collection was designed to remind you that life together is comprised of ups and downs. All wedding rings and engagement rings have an irregular design that makes them fit together. This irregularity and fit symbolize that despite the difficult times, we are unconditionally present in the lives of those we love.

Olga Kassian, Wonther’s founder, says

“We want to help break stereotypes and of course, we want to celebrate love. We need to help society move beyond traditional gender roles” .
